About the Conference

The first Currency Conference was celebrated in 1992 at the request of Central Banks and Issuing Authorities responsible for the Currency and Issue function, who recognized the need for a unique platform to address their specific interests and challenges, as well as their desire to network with their peers from other countries. Sixteen (16) very successful conferences later, the Currency Conference remains the premier industry conference for Central Bankers and Issuing Authorities.

The Currency Conference brings together key officials in the currency issuing and distribution departments of Central Banks and Monetary Authorities, printing works, and leading industry suppliers to the industry from around the world to share experiences and network with each other in a secure and engaging environment. We believe it is critical that we continue to provide a secure forum for industry leaders to meet and discuss policy, efficiencies, best practices, and new strategies, as well as the latest technologies and solutions that benefit their operations.

A globally balanced program includes the best policy-driven presentations along with a very special and memorable social event program that promotes effective networking and communication. Together, these elements provide delegates a memorable—and valuable—EXPERIENCE. Furthermore, a balanced delegation of suppliers and end-users is the most beneficial equation to all delegates; therefore, “commercial supplier” registrations are limited.

The sponsors of the Currency Conference represent the world’s leading suppliers to the currency industry, and provide an extensive, state-of-the-art exhibition of their new technologies and products for our delegation.

These are the reasons why the Currency Conference has remained the predominant choice of currency industry events by Governors, Deputy Governors, and Chief Cashiers for over 25 years and throughout 16 conference events. We look forward to welcoming you to the 17th Currency Conference in May 2017 in Kuala Lumpur.
